It’s with great pleasure that I make a post here about Hypable.com – my latest project and the one that I’m in for the long run.

A few months ago I was thinking about MuggleNet, Twilight Source, and other fandom sites. It got me thinking about how each of these sites does have an eventually expiration date in terms of when the main excitement ends. While the site may be around forever, that “primetime” will disappear at some point.

Obviously the idea of a general entertainment site is nothing new to the internet. But what about a general entertainment site that promises the same level of coverage as a fansite that only covers one fandom?

That is the idea behind Hypable. An entertainment site for fans, by fans. We promise you’ll never miss a story, and we’ll get them all to you in an efficient amount of time. Free of corporate control and only powered by passionate fans.

The problem with most general entertainment sites is that they don’t get every story in a fandom, and the stories they do give you aren’t delivered quick. Over the years I’ve noticed most items posted on MuggleNet or Twilight Source were not posted on broader sites for hours or days. That’s not acceptable to fans!

Hypable fixes that, and I’m so excited it’s finally here. What you see now on Hypable is only the very very beginning. Overtime it will grow with new fandoms, podcasts, and features. All while gaining the trust of more and more pop culture fanatics.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it, because this one is all about the fans and – again – I’m in it for the long run. Big thank you’s go out to Richard, John, Mason, Joe, and Nick – the five people who’ve been working on this with me and are as excited about it as I am.
