We are having SO MUCH FUN on this Imprint podcast tour. I type this post from Memphis, but in the past week we’ve been through Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, and Dallas. The further we drive, the more comments/questions we get about our Washington license plate.
The drives have been going faster than expected. We find endless conversation in the car (well, Matt and Elysa usually talk as I listen to podcast after podcast) and before we know it we’re at our next stop.
It’s fun to host each show, but the best part comes afterwards when we get to say hi to everyone. It’s so nice, heartwarming, flattering, and inspiring to speak with the listeners face to face.
It makes me think, why would I ever stop doing this? People rely on these shows to get them through work and hard times. They’re used to enlighten and entertain. And hearing these stories directly from the listeners motivates me more than anything. It’s also nice to hear that they think the podcasts are really really good when referring to the quality of content, hosts, and sound. It gets me REALLY excited for my start at CSU Fullerton in the Fall, where I fully intend to rock the school with the best radio program the institution has ever seen.
Not to mention, I LOVE planning, hosting, and editing these podcasts. People love what we’re doing, and we love doing it. It’s a great cycle, and the reason why even MuggleCast is still running strong as it approaches its fifth birthday.
So there are some thoughts from the tour. I’m also staying in good shape. Most of the hotels we’ve been in have had small gyms (some better than others). Good stuff.
LASTLY, I have this idea for a site that is going to be the next Twitter/Facebook. It’s something people do practically every day on Twitter and Facebook, but said content is not being organized/utilized properly. That will change with this brilliant new site. I’m working on it with MuggleNet programmer/designer/friend/Springsteen-addict Richard and I promise you it will take over the world. It’s addicting, social, and all about you and your friends.

Can’t wait! Will the new site be revealed this year?
Andrew, at this rate, you are going to be the next kevin rose. xD
Can’t wait to see what your next project is. I’m so glad when I decide to listen to a Potter podcast I chose yours. You and some of your hosts of all your podcast just have “it”. That thing that makes a person who has never even read Twilight listen to Imprint because they love to hear your voice. It is impossible to explain what “it” is Andrew, but you have it and the future is very bright for you. Can’t wait to hear you on the radio or see you on TV. Thank you for doing everything you do, you have truly made a positive impact on my life these last 3 years.
Sounds very intriguing…! Eagerly waiting for more details from you soon. Don’t leave us in suspense for too long.
As a UK listener of all your podcasts, I’d love to attend one of your live shows if you ever come to London. I can imagine how cool it must be.
Love all you do Andrew.
I’m really excited to hear more about what you are working on. Keep up the awesome work.
andrew you’re so talented and have such a great attitude! i love your passion for what you do… you really do live what you love. keep up the good morale and best of luck at school, you’re so young and full of ideas i cant wait to see where they take you!
I’m excited! Can’t wait to see what you two come up with.
I’m so mad I found out about the existence of CSU Fullerton AFTER applications were due. Their campus is gorgeous!
Andrew Sims, you are my hero.
Entertaining podcasts that are from the voices of ordinary people are the only things still giving me hope in the human race!
Keep on podcasting, and when you’re a nationally famous radio personality, I’ll still be listening.
(waiting semi-patiently.)
I still really wish you had stopped in New Mexico. Maybe some day I’ll get over this loss.
Wow, that last bit about the Twitter/Facebook site sounds cool! Can’t wait to see what that’s all about.
But Andrew, I am glad that you all do the podcasts. I have listened to MuggleCast since episode one was released, and have never stopped. I really appreciate all the work you MuggleCasters do to put out shows for the fans. It’s true that it does help through rough times (and just any time) to have a constant show that can make you laugh and think at the same time. So thank you for your dedication!
And yeah, you’re going to rock at your new school, lol.
It sure looks as you guys are having a great time on tour.
Honestly it devestates me not being able to attend one of the live shows, for Imprint, Mugglecast or even if you’d do a live Smartmouths at some point. Thankfully I can always rely on the shows appearing on my iTunes feed every other week
Thanks for continually producing quality shows, both content and personality wise – I love every single one of you and I cannot describe how many times you’ve raised my spirits, at work, in school or at home!
I can’t wait to see what you´ll do in the future Andrew, especially since you got accepted to that tech school. You’re the life and soul of all the podcasts you do!
Good luck on the rest of the tour. And now LAURA’S BACK yay!
Also – Now you’ve got me really excited for that new website hehe
Greetings from ICELAND
I’m not a huge Twilight fan, but I AM a huge Harry Potter and MuggleCast fan, so I’ll be seeing you at the New York City stop! I bet it’s going to be packed!
Can’t wait to hear more about your brilliant ideas!
I hope one day I’ll be able to see one of your podcasts live! I’ve never been!
You’ve got me all excited for this website, Andrew! I’m trying to guess what the concept is, but I just can’t come up with anything! When it all comes to together, i’ll definitely sign up! Also, you mentioned Laura, will she be on the next MuggleCast? I love the guys, but I do miss her “female-ness” and her wonderful sarcasm and jokes!
This post made me really happy, because I always get superrr excited and rely entirely on your podcasts during times of emotional & physical exhaustion, not to mention stress from school, work, and friends. Your podcasts give me such a break, but there have been times when I listen to 5 in a row and it feels bittersweet. What will happen to me when your podcasts end? It’s a relief to know that you plan to continue this for a long time.
Andrew- you’re so loved, appreciated, adored, and admired. Can’t wait to hear about this mysterious new awesomeness. Keep it up!
I hope it’s successful!! I’ll be able to say I’d heard of Andrew Sims back in the early days, while you’re busy taking over the world(:
LOVE Mugglecast and Smartmouths and keep up the amazing work- you’re an inspiration to all of your fans<3
Hey everyone! I’m looking into starting a new podcast, and if anyone is interested in co-hosting please contact me at alrp368@gmail.com
